Your questions answered

At Kendal Cats, we pride ourselves on providing reliable and compassionate care for your feline friends. We want to ensure you have all the information you need for peace of mind while you are away. Find out more about how we work, what to prepare, and why we are the purr-fect choice for your cat.

How do I book?

It's easy to arrange our services and there's no commitment for owners. Simply contact Nicola of Kendal Cats via WhatsApp on 07442 789 580 to check availability. It is best to enquire and book early to secure your preferred visit times and dates.

What experience do you specifically have with cats?

I have extensive experience caring for cats. From early childhood, I have always had cats as family pets until I had my own cat at 13. At one point, I had 6 cats and had a dream of having my own cattery.

Through my years as a cat owner and now running my Home Visit Service for cats, I understand their unique behaviours and needs.

I provide enrichment and company to your pet, ensuring they are happy and comfortable in their familiar surroundings.

Concerns about safety of your pet and home

I am (Enhanced) DBS checked and fully insured for your peace of mind. I also provide photo and video updates during my visits so you can assess your cat's wellbeing while you are away. I am mature and respect your property and focused on caring for your pet.

What happens if my cat becomes ill when I am away?

In case of illness, I will contact you if that is what has been arranged. In the case where you are out of contact, the emergency contact details you provide (family, friend or vet) are the next step.

I am experienced in administering vet-prescribed medications and will follow your instructions carefully to ensure your cat receives the best possible care.

Can I administer medication?

Yes, I am experienced in giving oral medications. Please provide clear instructions and any necessary equipment when you prepare for my visit. If necessary, extra time may be required.

What should I prepare for your visit?

It helps me greatly when supplies for your cat are left in an accessible place (whilst maintaining your cat's safety). It is also helpful when you leave details of your cat's routine and requirements, as well as vet and family or friend contact (in case of emergency and I am unable to reach you).

What happens in an emergency?

In an emergency, I will immediately contact the emergency contacts you have provided. This includes your vet and any designated family or friends, ensuring your cat receives prompt attention.

Am I DBS checked?

Yes, I am fully DBS checked. Your trust and your cat's safety are my top priorities.

Am I insured?

Yes, Kendal Cats is a professional and insured cat sitter service, providing you with complete peace of mind.

How do I keep keys secure?

All keys are kept securely, without any identifying information attached, ensuring the safety of your home. Keys are returned quickly upon you  advising that you are home (so that delays in your arrival don't mean a pet is left without the care they need).
